1. Our First fund-raiser this year is a (1)"Rummage and Bake  Sale" in conjunction with the Village's annual sale in Mid-May. Gently-used items and freshly baked goods!

 (2) The second and most-anticipated event is our "Strawberry Social." It is held on July 4th, usually a beautiful, sunny and warm day. Our ladies spend hours slicing strawberries, and making biscuits, in preparation for the big day. Then, juicy succulent strawberries are ladled on top of home-made biscuits, and ice-cream, as you like it, and dished out to hungry and appreciative customers. The event is held on the "marina lawn," which is in "Memorial Park" right along the waterfront where many Independence Day activities are held. The ladies operate under a tent to protect the goodies and  tend to your wishes cheerfully. There are a few shady trees to sit under to enjoy your treat. It's the perfect time of the season when strawberries are at their best, and there is no other dessert that tastes better in July. For a reasonable charge, your tastebuds will be delighted with our club's favorite July 4th offering. If for some reason, the July 4th date will not work, it will be held the next day,  July 5th.

Of our 3 major fund-raisers throughout the year, the longest-standing one is our annual (3) Antique Show and Sale, which is always held on the first Tuesday in August. In 2010 we will be observing forty-one years for this popular show and sale. This is held at the Mackinaw City High School from 10am to 4pm. Lunch is available all day and is served by club members. Admission is only $2.00 for all day long.

Our club's 90th anniversary cookbook was a compilation of recipes from our own talented cooks, including some family secret concoctions. We couldn't tell you which ones, but buyers were pleased with the results. The club's members are now working on the 100th anniversary book and it surely will be a bargain with taste-tested selections aimed to delight your family's palate. They will make great gifts, too! You may reserve a copy in advance by writing to the Mackinaw Woman's club, Inc., P. O. Box 356, Mackinaw City, MI  49701. The cook book will be on sale all year (2014) as well as during our Rummage Sale, Strawberry Social and the Antique Show. You can order them at the address above, and they will be shipped to you.

The proceeds from our various fund-raisers are used to finance our philanthropic endeavors as well as the upkeep and maintenance of our clubhouse. In 2009 we replaced the roof on our clubhouse building.
